Our Therapeutic Approach

We use modern, scientifically-backed therapies to help you build a more meaningful life.

Therapy isn't just talking; it's a science-backed process. Evidence-based practice means we use treatments that have been rigorously tested and proven effective in scientific studies. This approach combines clinical expertise, the best available research, and your personal values and circumstances to create a treatment plan that works. It's a collaborative process focused on clear goals and measurable progress.

Life is full of challenges, and avoiding painful thoughts and feelings often makes them stronger. ACT (pronounced as the word "act") offers a powerful alternative. Instead of fighting with your inner experiences, you'll learn to accept them with mindfulness and self-compassion. The focus of ACT is not on feeling good, but on living well. We'll work together to clarify what truly matters to you — your values — and use that as a guide to take committed action, building a rich, full, and meaningful life even in the presence of pain.

For those who have experienced trauma, the world can feel unsafe, and memories can be intrusive and overwhelming. Prolonged Exposure is one of the most effective treatments for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps you gradually and safely approach trauma-related memories, feelings, and situations you've been avoiding. Through this process, you can learn that you are capable of managing these reminders, reduce the distress they cause, and regain control of your life.

Cognitive Processing Therapy is a highly effective, research-backed treatment for PTSD that focuses on how trauma has altered your beliefs. We will work to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs — or "stuck points" — that keep you trapped in the cycle of trauma. By learning to look at the event differently and re-evaluate your beliefs, you can create a new, healthier understanding of the trauma and its impact, allowing you to move forward.

Fees & Insurance

Transparent information to help you make an informed decision about your care.

Private Pay & Superbill Services

Vector Psychology is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. Many clients find that their out-of-network benefits cover a significant portion of the cost. Upon request, we provide a superbill — a detailed receipt — that you can submit directly to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits prior to your first session.
